Coupled With Christ celebrates its 3rd year anniversary on the web!

Ark Encounter
Today the Ark Encounter officially opens in Kentucky! A life-sized Noah's Ark can now be experienced in the 21st Century! The address is "1 Ark Encounter Dr, Williamstown, KY 41097" though you will only find it using Google Maps at the time I write this (come on Bing, get up to speed!). The attraction sits right off of I-75 at Williamstown, but if you have an older GPS without updated maps like mine you might use either of the following addresses which should land you close to the entrance: 207 KY-36, Williamstown, KY 41097 (gas station) or 211 Kentucky 36, Williamstown, KY 41097 (hotel). A special thanks to Ken Ham and the team at Answers in Genesis for making this attraction a reality! I can't wait to visit having been to the Creation Museum many times over the years.

A new page "Board Games" has been added to Carpenter's Corner.

Rachelle heads to Las Vegas this week to attend the Plexus Annual Convention! She is able to completely cover the cost of the trip through her Plexus income. If you have a passion for good health and are interested in coming along next year consider becoming a member of her team today!

Hadassah turns 1 year old! Can't believe an entire year has passed and our little infant is growing up so fast!

Celebrating the birth of our Savior! Also thanking the Lord that we can experience this Christmas season free of sickness as we endured the previous year!

The wedding bells toll as Uncle "Zachy" as the twins refer to him is married on the Maryland penninsula. As the splendid weekend draws to a close we Iowans make a not-so-speedy 26 hour trip back home where we readjust to the non-vacation schedule.

Lincoln Memorial"Now boarding all passengers to Metro Central!" Bright and early Thursday morning this little family of five navigated their way into the Shady Grove Metro Station and boarded the Metro train for an exciting day in Washington D.C. Eleven hours later we had experienced our first visit to the Capitol, Library of Congress, Smithsonian's Native American, Air & Space, and Holocaust museums, in addition to the Washington and Lincoln Monument, and Memorials for World War II, Vietnam, and Korea. All said and done these were some exhausted tourists after many miles of walking through the National Mall. Needless to say we were glad to get off our feet and enjoy some shut eye that night!

Our first family vacation takes us to the heart of Hershey Pennsylvania to tour the chocolate factory after which we spent the day in historic Gettysburg to walk the battlefield of Robert E. Lee and Pickett's charge. What an incredible place!

The twins enjoy their first visit to the Saint Louis Zoo at a scorching 98+ degrees! This was a day we will not soon forget!

We warmly welcome our newest member of the family "Hadassah Grace", a perfect bundle of joy who brings a smile to every face! Hadassah was the Jewish name for the woman Esther in the Bible. It means "righteous" or "myrtle". In the Bible, the myrtle tree was used as a depiction of Israel such as in the book of Zechariah; the branches were used to cover the booths or sukkahs during the feast of tabernacles, a fall feast remembering the deliverance of Israel by God from their slavery in Egypt. Our love for this precious child is indescribable!

Merry Christmas! Well almost if not for the fact that the whole family contracted Influenza A! Aghhh! What a horrible illnesss to deal with and hard to watch Isaiah and Lilia fight the infection as well. So gratefull that God spared our whole family when several other children in the surrounding states died from this devastating sickness.

Winter is here and it's "gooold" as Isaiah and Lilia would say! This week Grandpa and Grandma are coming home from Haiti to spend Christmas with the family. Mommy is still feeling sick with baby in the tummy, but we're counting down the days for the February delivery. We all took a trip to Omaha for a doctor's appointment yesterday and spent the afternoon at the Union Pacific Museum where Isaiah and Lilia got to see some trains! It was a much needed family day out.

Well fall is just around the corner, and I don't think we're ready to let go of summer, not that we have a lot of choice. Already the sun is going down sooner than usual which means Isaiah and Lilia will resume their earlier bed times. Both are growing up so much and almost 2 years old! They love watching "Baby Signing Time" DVDs and learn new signs every day communicating when they are hungry, thirsty, tired, and so forth. What a blessing it is to be able to communicate with your children long before they can talk. Our trip to the zoo is soon approaching where they will once again get to see all the "Ra Ra's!" -Isaiah and Lilia's term for dogs and just about any other large animal. We will keep you posted.

I am thrilled to not only be able to help and reach out to people with health issues, but I hope in the meantime to be a tremendous blessing to them as I do my best with the business the Lord has given me! It's my desire that He is glorified through it! Lilia is now walking all over the house! She can stand up on her own without help. Isaiah feels that the traditional crawl is still the fastest method of getting around; for now he's right.

The race is on, who can get the most teeth by Christmas? Isaiah had a good head start with 4 on top and 3 on bottom while Lilia only had 4 on top and 2 on bottom; however, the tide is turning since Lilia now has 4 molars coming in! So Lilia is up 10 to Isaiah 7. -stay tuned.

The twins have discovered "The One and Only Cheerios!"

Isaiah and Lilia have learned to climb stairs! -extra fun for mommy and daddy to keep an eye on them now.
